Project Management Training & Consulting Services
We provide consulting and training for project managers related to project management principles, project planning, and project/team launch.
These consulting services include:
- Defining project manager and project leader roles and responsibilities relative to other departments
- Establishing a project management office, reporting relationships, and responsibilities
- Assistance and facilitation in developing a project plan
- Facilitation of project risk assessment and management
- Facilitation of a project kick-off meeting
In addition, we provide the following workshops to help develop and improve project management skills.
- Organizing to Embrace Project Management as a Core Competence (1/2 day)
In this workshop, we will help you define an organizational approach to achieving project management excellence including selecting/hiring the right people, training requirements, measuring project management performance and organizational options such as project management office (PMO), dual role vs. dedicated project managers, etc.
A computer-based class that covers the use of Microsoft Project® for developing task and timing plans based on task dependencies, resource constraints and critical path analysis.
- Embracing Project Management Principles with PD-Trak and Microsoft Project® (2-3 days)
Training for project managers that covers fundamental project management principles and the related tools in PD-Trak and Microsoft Project®. Additional management training in Denver, as well as other states, can also be utilized if needed.
- Team Launch Workshop (2 days)
An experiential workshop to build effective teamwork, understand how to work together as a team, develop a team charter, and begin the process of project definition and planning.
