Document Management

The document management functions address two types of documents. Primary documents are documents or deliverables that should be prepared for every project using a certain type of strong stage phase-gate process for product development, platform development, technology development, etc. These documents start as templates and as the team begins there preparation reflect the most current version of the documents for team members to access. A second category of documents are ad-hoc documents developed over the course of the project which can be grouped into categories and managed.
