Product Development Process Improvement

This assessment uses a form of benchmarking by comparing the company’s processes, practices and tools against 280 best practices derived from an extensive benchmarking effort. The Product Development Assessment results in specific findings and prioritized recommendations. After consultation with the organization’s management team on the needs, an implementation plan is developed as the basis for an improvement project.

If the focus of the improvement effort is on applying Lean Product Development practices, another starting point is to conduct a Lean Product Development Workshop. This workshop can used as a springboard to identify areas to focus attention on.

We can then assist with the implementation of improvements to the product development process and related practices, methods and tools.  This assistance can include developing the detailed approach for process steps and practices, conducting training, and facilitating the use of the process steps and practices.
