That said, there may be areas where the configuration options are not sufficient to satisfy your specific requirements. In these cases, we first take steps to fully understand the changes needed. We then scope out the solution and determine if that solution would have broad benefit to our current and/or future customers, or if it is specific to your company. If the change will be specific to your company, we will provide a statement of work and quotation for your consideration.
If the change has broad application, we may share some of the development costs, but you have the benefit of influencing the solution design to be optimized for your immediate needs. One common area of customization is in the area of financial assessment or justification of a project. Some companies have existing, company-specific methods and metrics that they are using for assessing project attractiveness. In such cases, we will modify or replace our existing financial pages to provide the specific format and metrics that are needed. A financial model is very important in these circumstances so you know which area you would like to keep as is. A sensitivity analysis test may wish to be run firstly, and that can be looked into.
Another area of customization maybe integration with project accounting systems. Wherever possible, we attempt to build these customized capabilities into our base software to minimize the effort to upgrade to new versions of the software. We have been largely able to do this in the majority of situations by building the customization in as a configuration option.
Customization (modification that is specific to your company) is only supported on the Dedicated, Cloud-Based SaaS and Internal Company Server platforms (not on the SaaS Cloud Service).
