Project Portfolio Planning tools can be used for Quality projects such as process improvement projects or six sigma projects. These projects can be managed as part of a separate project portfolio with PD-Trak. This allows Quality to establish priorities for projects, perform cost/benefit analysis for process improvement or six sigma projects, track project progress, and plan and manage resources to support these projects. PD-Trak provides a formal process for managing quality projects as would be expected for compliance with ISO 9001.
Project Process Definition tools in PD-Trak allow different types of project processes to be defined whether for a product development project, a process improvement project, or a six sigma project. We offer a DMAIC template as a basis for defining a standard six sigma process. Our new product development template is based on a concurrent engineering or integrated product development approach with early Quality involvement. This formalized approach to process definition supports quality certification requirements of ISO 9001.
Work Tracking is supported for product development projects as well as other types of quality projects. This enables all project personnel to keep up to date on the status of activities and clearly understand their assignments and list of activities.
Six Sigma Tools are part of the PD-Trak system. These Stakeholder Analysis, Cause and Effect Analysis, Pareto Analysis, SIPOC Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Cost Benefit Analysis, Process Mapping, Process Definition, Quality Function Deployment, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and Control Plans.
